Second edition large folio, which contains more of a stud Treaty (pp 306-318.); the drawing boards is very good, which is not always the cas..Les boards are due to Charles Parrocel (1688 – 1752) and for technical boards Coquart, engraved by L. Cars, JP Lebas Aveline, Borde, Audran, Tardieu, Dupuis, Beauvais and Desplaces; son of Joseph, painter, and grand-son of Bartholomew, also a painter, Charles Parrocel was not chosen by chance to illustrate this famous work and certainly one of the most beautiful books of the eighteenth on riding; aged just 17, he joined a cavalry regiment and served there for a year, gaining a remarkable knowledge of the horse and all military accessories cavalry; it will use perfectly throughout his career as well as to carry out several equestrian portraits of Louis XV. Back cover restored 19th gal perfect condition this book is magnificent.
